In Punjab, DPLI employs over 100 ex-servicemen across 8 cities including Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Ambala, Amritsar, Bathinda, Pathankot, etc. The company has collaborated with partners such as Directorate General of Resettlement and the Zila Sainik Boards of the Indian Armed Forces that assist in providing free of cost training and post retirement career opportunities for Armed Forces personnel, war widows and dependents.

The DHFL Pramerica Prahri initiative is an effort towards serving the defence personnel by working with and through them. The initiative was started in 2009 with the objective to provide comprehensive life insurance solutions to defence personnel to help them meet their insurance needs. The initiative currently protects over 100,000 lives through its life insurance solutions making approximately 12.6% penetration into the military bases. Prahri has specially designed customized plans to protect the defence personnel and their families.

In Prahri, ex-servicemen and their dependants are hired for roles ranging from Officer Prahri to Sales Managers to Senior profiles in Sales and Business Development functions. As a member of the defence community, and having served with the Indian Armed Forces, they closely understand the financial and protection needs of fellow defence personnel.

DPLI’s association with the defence community goes beyond business. The company has signed MoUs with the AG’s branch of the Army headquarters under which it supports Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centers in Pune and Mohali , Palliative Care Center in New Delhi and over 30 ASHA Schools pan India. It has also financially adopted children from Martyr schools in Jabalpur and Bathinda. The company provides training and employment to Veer Naris (war widows) and organizes developmental programs such as health camps, educational workshops, self defence camps, personality development courses, etc. for families of defence personnel in association with Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA)
